Fall...and Sharon's Project!

Blog update time! I am pleased to say that my fall has been quite wonderful. I've been busy with gigs, but have also been able to start a practice routine again...I've even been able to kick it a little bit and chill.  Life is good.

Had a chaotic start to the October having a whole bunch of gigs at once, most of them church-ish but also had a gig with Maggie Speaks, a prominent Chicago jobbing band. The Maggie gig went great, and I'm looking forward working with them more - just got to work on singing stuff like Jessie's Girl and TNT :) It was funny that my most noticeable error of that evening was forgetting the riff to Jessie's girl - which is arguably the easiest thing to play, ever. Can't win 'em all! Thanks to Shawn for bailing me out on that one.

In other news, a music video project that I worked on this summer with Sharon Irving is finally ready to be put out. Sharon is an incredibly talented vocalist that I know from my time at Willow, and she's just kicking off her solo career. We did an arrangement of her original tune "Peace," and a cover of the Vampire Weekend song "Step." I am excited to be working with her - she definitely has what it takes to go far - so check out these videos!
